Saani Rawat’s Academic Website

Welcome to my academic website! I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at University of Cincinnati. My research interests include Urban and Real Estate Finance, Public Economics, and Economics/Finance with AI. Feel free to explore my pages for more information about my research, teaching, and CV. I also often try to provide code and data related to my latest projects. In my free time, I enjoy hitting the gym, reading obscure books, and doing things with my hands (and legs… I like sports).

Formerly, I have worked for Truist Financial Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Cincinnati, and 84.51° (a Kroger subsidiary), in various roles performing quantitative analytics research.

I will join Marquette University’s Department of Finance as an Assistant Professor of Real Estate in August 2026.
